Achieve a juicy, tender steak with this foolproof method.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

1. Bring steaks to room temperature and season generously with salt and pepper. 2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. 3. Sear steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until a crust forms. 4. Lower the heat, add garlic, thyme, and butter. 5. Baste the steaks with butter and cook to your preferred doneness. 6. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
